Volunteer caregivers are friends and neighbors of all ages who are trained to provide non-medical services to the elderly and adults with disabilities in the River Cities region of Cabell and Northern Wayne Counties, West Virginia, and Lawrence County, Ohio. Volunteers determine the amount of time they wish to donate and the types of services they would like to provide, such as:
- transportation
- shopping/errands
- respite
- companionship
- paperwork
- yard work
- minor home repairs
- light housekeeping/laundry assistance
- reassurance telephone calls
